Assignment #1 - Scavenger Hunt
The first picture that I chose, and that I can stand, is a picture of my daughter. I love the expression on her face. I shot it on the manual setting. I actually did several different shots; playing with the range and this one was my favorite. I played a little with the aperture and shutter speed. I only changed this picture a little bit in Lightroom. It didn't seem to need a lot of correction.

The next picture I can stand was taken when I was hiking in Dry Canyon. It was a cloudy afternoon and I was waiting for the sun to come out to catch some contrast. I took several pictures and this one was one I caught on my way out. The important thing is that you can see Timpanogas (which I was waiting for). I liked the contrast in this picture with the blue-shaded mountains, the white snow, and the dark shrubbery. I shot that picture on manual as well.

This one, I took while hiking with my friend at Big Springs after changing the settings in the last class so many of my shots were out of focus. This one turned out ok. I like the turnings of the creek in this one. I learned from this session that I need to be really still or uses a tri(mono-)pod. This was taken about 9 am.
